  1. How do I train my Officers?

 A.      We will send you the complete rules and regulations of the BATTLEFIELD COMPETITION, so that you and all your staff of officers can familiarize yourselves with the RULES OF ENGAGEMENT!  You will be re-briefed on Friday at the Atlanta Hilton Battle Zone.

PERSONAL INVITATION FOR OFFICERS & OFFICIALS

TO DIRECT THE EXERCISE:  A NEW BEGINNING…AUGUST 1 & 2, 2008

Dear Friends in the Martial Arts:

As you see, our 2008 BATTLE OF ATLANTA theme is A NEW BEGINNING.  In a World of Mixed Martial Arts (we call it Mixed Wrestling Arts); so much of our Integrity is being ignored.  Our NEW BEGINNING is designed to honor those things and those people who have made the martial arts spirit great!

The 8th Habit:  Finding your voice and inspiring others to find theirs.  What a better place to do it than in the martial arts and in the heat of a good Battle?

Do you remember the special teacher(s) in your life?  They just seemed to understand you and knew just what to do to inspire you?  That is who we are…who you are.

Let’s take that spirit to A NEW BEGINNING!

That is our theme for this year.  It is dedicated to our instructors.

Today, it is a new world.  Our challenges are greater.  Our diversity in many ways separates us from others.  But ours is a great and a unique country, and our ability to recapture and retain our martial arts roots guarantees our futures.  For 2008, I am personally reaching out once again to our fine officials-OUR OFFICERS who have played such a great role in the development of our art and BATTLE OF ATLANTA, in order to give each of them the kind of recognition they deserve on our web site, visited by tens of thousands from around the world.  I want them to know you.

As one of our key people, you will also receive the special PLAQUE as you are inducted into our new OFFICIALS HALL OF FAME.  And here is what I ask of you.

Please send me a picture of yourself-shot with a digital camera (white uniform against a black background or black uniform against a white background), and email the JPEG to me at pkajoecor@aol.com, along with the nomination from one of your students to be filled out on our web site at www.battleofatlanta.com  NOMINATE YOUR INSTRUCTOR FOR THE WEB SITE AND OUR NEW “HONOR THE LEADERS” POSTER.  (If all this computer talk still makes you nervous, mail me your information and photo, and we’ll scan it immediately and put it on the site!)  Then fill in and mail back all the enclosed info, or do it on-line, so that we can place your picture on our poster along with Chuck Norris, Bill “Superfoot” Wallace, Joe Lewis and the other superstars of our art.

It is the tribute our martial arts leaders like you deserve!

Please review the BATTLEFIELD COMMISSIONS information above to determine if you will be one of our Lieutenants, Captains, Majors, Colonels or Generals for 2008.

For hotel information, go to www.connectionshousing.com or call 404-842-0000 for our very special rates!

All the Best from Joe Corley and the BATTLE OF ATLANTA STAFF!
